Adam Bizanksi

Man, I am waaay behind on posting some great stuff sitting in my inbox. I’m going to try making shorter, more frequent posts so I can get some of this juicy stuff your way.

Adam Bizanksi

The website of Adam Bizanski is definitely worth checking out. He managed to reproduce his directing/animation style in a Flash-site, and you know how much I love that. (If you don’t, just ask. I’ll launch into an evangelical sermon about convergence at the drop of a hat.)

Despite my aversion to most stop-action work, Adam has done some pretty cool stuff, including "Pink Bullets" for The Shins and "Modern World" for Wolf Parade.

The work is really good, so is the site. The Animation of the character in the flash part of the site is really quite impressive. is this a flash 3D Engine?
Although, I don´t like the acutal design of the site that much. First of all, why does the viewer need flash player and quicktime? He could have just used flash to play the animations. And talking about integration, the content is not at all integrated in the site design. So neither is the site designed with user-friendlyness in mind nor does it success to integrate the movies into a seamless experience. Go ahead, Justin, bring on your sermon! ;)

I agree with Justin but I would love to hear your take on the “convergence” topic. It’s tried to pop it’s head out a few times in the past but their have been some notable failures in the past. But I have a strange feeling we are in for some big changes in the near future.
