Typomania

TYPOMANIA festival is a cultural and educational project focused on young graphic designers and illustrators. It is also a platform for sharing of experience and ideas between the acclaimed masters and the new generation.

TYPOMANIA arose in 2012 and from the very beginning gained wide acceptance and recognition among the members of the creative community. For the last years the festival has been growing actively. In 2015 TYPOMANIA attracted more than 1600 visitors.

TYPOMANIA is held in the format of a merry, noisy and experimental feast of type and graphics. The festival program is based on lectures, workshops, exhibitions and a typography video contest. The zest thing about Typomaina is that the vast majority of video is in Cyrillic, and that makes the festival a unique event for the countries of the former Soviet Union. Along with Serebro Nabora type conference and “Golden bee” biennale, TYPOMANIA festival is a catalyst for the emergence and development of the visual culture in Russia.
