And Now For a Little Diversion

Aidan Gibbons and Simon Reeves have posted a fun little film entitled Diversion about a group of roadsigns’ attempt to escape the city. As interesting as the film is the production blog, through which Aidan and Simon share their modeling and compositing tests.

I’m curious to see what the finished product will be. (Given that the last production blog post was on March 10th, maybe the finished product is the one linked above.) With some creative editing, this could be a nice little short. I’d say it needs to be about half as long as it is now, with maybe a little more attention paid to how the music can enhance the narrative. Just my two pennies.

Massive props to Aidan and Simon for sharing their process and their work.

Thanks to Paul Ducco for bringing this project to our attention.
