I Met The Walrus

In 1969, Jerry Levitan snuck his way into John Lennon’s hotel room for a brief but wonderfully candid interview. Over 30 years later, Jerry teamed up with Josh Raskin to create a film based on his original audio recording of that momentous occasion in young Levitan’s life. Check out the trailer.

Apparently, it’s going to be longer, although I’m not sure how long this approach can be sustained. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. For a more detailed account of the original interview, check out this story. (Levitan’s a lawyer in Toronto now. Let’s hope he hasn’t lost all his Lennon-flavored idealism.)
