Adobe and Cut&Paste: “See What’s Possible”

When I saw that the grand prize for the recently announced “See What’s Possible” Challenge from Adobe and Cut&Paste was $20,000 USD, I did a double-take.

Upon hearing about the event a few weeks ago, I agreed to spread the word not because Motionographer would make any money from it (it won’t), but because I believed in Cut&Paste’s ability to bring designers together so they can have a great time and be their best.

I had no idea the jackpot would be so big. But there it is. In black on white on the competition site. Adobe and C&P aren’t messing around, apparently.

And check out the judges: Alexei Tylevich (Logan), Jonathan Notaro (Brand New School), Nando Costa (Nervo) José Gomez (Shilo), Adina Sales (Blacklist) and Victor Newman (Freestyle Collective). Pretty solid lineup, no?

I’m really hoping this event shines a spotlight on some new talent. This is exactly the kind of opportunity that could give up-and-coming scrappers their break. I got into this wild world of mograph through a contest sponsored by Creative Commons, so I’m a firm believer in their power.

Plus, they’re a hell of lot more fun than 98% of the client work out there.

Now go create some awesome stuff. Just make sure to read the rules first.
