High Drama Meets Arch Viz

It looks like Chicago’s newest addition to its skyline will be yet another masterpiece in a city populated with architectural gems. The Chicago spire, conceived by architect/engineer Santiago Calatrava, is a massive new residential project slated to be the tallest building in the western hemisphere.

In addition to a slick website, developer Garrett Kellehery commissioned Sony Pictures Imageworks to create an epic CG film starring the structure. Head over to fxguide for an in-depth look at the creation of the film, including an exclusive QuickTime of the animation.
