Rest in Peace, Gideon Baws

Gideon Baws, one of the creative forces behind Shynola, passed away this weekend. Gideon touched many lives, both on a personal and professional level. Although I never met him, the work he created with Shynola remains some of the most innovative, thoughtful animation work I’ve ever seen. His creative vision lives on in the work of the thousands who have been inspired by his work.

The entire Motionographer crew mourns this loss and sends our warmest thoughts to Gideon’s family and loved ones.

UPDATE: Some faulty information was removed from this post regarding the circumstances of Gideon’s passing.
