“Lost and Found” a branded short for Woolmark written, directed and produced by Neon actually managed to make me feel emotionally connected to a piece of wool.
The stunning vfx work is reason enough to watch it, but the story is what brought me back for a third and fourth viewing. With delicate animation and clever writing, the Neon crew wove genuine character development into a branded film about something as banal as fabric production.
The general conceit of the project is reminiscent of Glassworks Amsterdam’s “The Art of Raw” project from 2013, but Neon’s take adds an emotional punch that takes the same concept to a new place.
