PQ FUI: A delightful collection of meaningless sliders and knobs

Peter Quinn’s promo for PQ FUI Toys is a self-deprecating romp through an impressive collection of over 100 fake user interface elements that he’s selling over at aescripts.

Including such gems as “pointless graphs,” “over-animated dial” and a “nice, but useless circle,” the collection is one part helpful toolbox and one part snarky commentary on the abundance of superfluous UI elements in contemporary film and TV.

Quinn strikes the right balance between taking his animation seriously and taking the piss — something he’s done before in his wildly successful “Shit Showreels Say” from 2014.
