Director Ricardo Villavicencio and Ben Hill combine forces to bring together this remarkable music video for Darlings. I’ve admired Ricardo’s work for a long time. Ricardo’s designs have appeared in countless mood boards, including my own. His work exudes confidence and charisma. Even when working with the simplest of imagery, Ricardo has the uncanny ability to fill his work with emotion and weight.
And Ben Hill… I love Ben Hill. If there were an animation draft Ben would be my first pick.
Ben has an opinion, impeccable taste and the skills to back it up. Most importantly, in a sea of mediocrity, Ben is paving his own way and doing his own thing. He chooses not just to follow the trends but make new ones. We need more Ben Hills!
Together with additional help from Luis Suarez and Patricio Molina they put together this spot-on example of what happens when stunning design meets excellent timing.
