Over the past few years, Oddfellows have been steadily gaining momentum. What started as a small San Francisco-based company has now expanded to Portland with a new team and body of work that can stand with the best of them.
One thing that I’m most impressed with is the emphasis Oddfellows places on personal work. For a small studio, it can be hard to make time to develop your own voice, especially with paying clients at the door. It’s all too easy to fall into the mold of everything you make being subservient to the advertising world or a client. “The Junebug” is a beautiful piece of design and animation, but more importantly, it’s an excellent example of balanced priorities and making art for art’s sake.
Be sure to head over to their sleek new website to view more Oddfellows goodness.
Also, don’t forget to visit their Instagram to take a peek at what is going on behind the scenes as well as meet the new team.
