This is as appropriate then as it is now. Can you imagine commercial pitches today incorporating a well-designed, critical look at the Iraq War, Wall Street, the do-nothing Tea Party Congress, The Occupy Movement, AIDS in Africa? Today, the industrial world wants to sweep reality under the rug and live as though the world of commerce exists in a vacuum, disconnected from the rest of the world.
