Kubo and the Two Strings

Laika’s forthcoming feature, “Kubo and the Two Strings,” is a stunning blend of Japanese culture and magical adventure rendered in lovingly crafted stop-motion (boosted by liberal doses of CG, naturally).

Travis Knight, former lead animator turned Laika executive, took his first spin in the director’s chair for the film. Laden with the moody ambiance and conflicted heroes for which Laika is rightly celebrated, “Kubo and the Two Strings” is set to release in August.
