We get countless requests to share projects on crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. We applaud the efforts of creative people using these funding mechanisms to gather support for their projects.
But we can’t post them all.
There are two broad categories of crowdfunded projects that we do share on Motionographer (and its social media channels):
1. Useful stuff
If a proposed product seems like it might be useful to Motionographer’s audience or disrupt industry standard products or workflows, then we’ll seriously consider sharing it.
2. Compelling promotional media
If the promotional materials (for example, a trailer video) for a crowdfunded project are exceptionally compelling, then we’ll consider sharing it. See “Deciding What to Post” for more information.
