Spanning four days across various LA venues, Flux Festival will center on a day-long showcase at the stunning new Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Koreatown on Saturday, November 23. This event will feature bold innovations in moving image and sound through presentations, performances, and screenings. The evening will conclude with a party featuring a live AV set by Nosaj Thing, following an opening AV performance by artists Kevin Peter He and Jake Oleson.

Flux Festival is an extension of the quarterly Flux screening series held at the Hammer Museum at UCLA and will kick off on November 20 with a special screening to celebrate 15 seasons of Flux, including surprise guests and an afterparty in the Hammer Museum courtyard. Workshops exploring new storytelling forms, screenings, and a gallery showcase will be held on November 21-22 at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Featured filmmakers, performers, and artists at Flux Festival include Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Carlos López Estrada; multidisciplinary sci-fi artist Lucy McRae; Cyberfeminism Index creator Mindy Seu; conceptual filmmaker Paul Trillo; singer and performance artist Poppy; British visual artist and performer Shantell Martin; and genre-defying filmmaker and artist Rashaad Newsome, among many others. A complete list of filmmakers, performers, and presentations is available online.

The inaugural Flux Festival is presented in collaboration with AIMS (AI for Media & Storytelling), a partnership between the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
