André Leite | Gloat – Brand Video

The production process behind this video was a testament to creative collaboration and technical precision. When the opportunity arose to work with the Gloat team, it was clear that this project was something special. Rarely do clients offer complete creative freedom, but in this case, the stars aligned. From the initial storyboard and moodboard development to the first call with the team, the vision began to take shape. The adjustments were precise, and the alignment on storytelling was seamless, setting the stage for what would become a visually compelling piece.

A key technical challenge emerged early on: the decision to create all screens in vector format with gradients. This task fell to Bianca Banderna, the project’s illustrator, who delivered a stunning visual style that became the foundation of the video. Her work not only met but exceeded expectations, allowing for smoother integration into After Effects. This shift from Photoshop to After Effects for final polishing proved to be a strategic move, enabling greater flexibility with textures, lighting, and shadows while keeping the file lightweight—a dream scenario for any animator.

The animatic phase marked the turning point where the project truly came to life. With a collaborative deadline providing nearly a month for refinement, every scene was meticulously crafted to ensure precision and impact. The final touch came with the sound design, expertly handled by Cristiano De Petrillo. His dynamic and immersive audio elevated the visuals, adding depth and emotion to the narrative.
