The Mill Scores with Levis

levis.jpg

Great writing and flawless execution combine in this Ringan Ledwidge-directed spot for Levi’s, with post-production handled expertly by The Mill. It’s basically the BNS Shuffle ad with a semi-narrative concept fueling it. That, and lots of testosterone.

Semi-narrative? This IS a narrative spot. Great concept and far more engaging than just the eye candy that is typical of motion graphics based approaches to direction. The ending sorta fizzles down though.

Yeah man, really great concept. I mean sex sells hasn’t been done before. So original.

testosterone?!?

Seriously.

...

The concept here is obviously not simply “sex”.
I think its a great spot and a great concept.

Really well made spot. Great choice of music too.

great spot, shame it was released when the ipod ad is so fresh, as there are inevitable comparisons. but noth sopts manage to use the same technique to their own end without it being a carbon copy knock off.
i think it’s totally justifiable in this case as levi do something distinctly different with the context.
not like when pleix re-hashed their own work and sold it to audi.

great spot, the mill is one of the best out there but the idea kinda resembles the ipod shuffle commercials to a certain extent.
