Digital Kitchen: Sundance 08

We posted Digital Kitchen’s brand bumpers from last year’s Sundance Film Festival, and now they’re back with a couple more. Inspired by the legendary Eames film, Powers of Ten, each bumper zooms in and out of universes created by filmmakers deep in thought.

They’re elegant pieces strung together by pleasing transitions. The tone and concept are a nice fit for the Sundance moviegoers.

I like these quite a bit.
Smooth transitions and both of the concepts fit really well.

…pretty much it looks like I repeated what Justin said :-)

I like the first. the second is weak, but has one good part.
well done DK. we look forward to next year’s one.

The second works better the original way, which is NOT reversed. So, try watching it backwards to see it forwards (make sense?).

I was out there on another job while they did these, and all things considered, they are amazing. Most of the post was pulled of in about 1.5 weeks or so? Somethin like that.

Rock on DK.

Very clear opinion by Tha_Don…NOT!!…with no specific examples as to what or why we just have to accept his/her comments as words from a guru…NOT!!

the first one is epic… so circular and fractal, it made me get lost in deep thought for a second. the city one’s transitions are just not as pleasing or smooth. plus i felt a tie-in on the first one, where the director is crossing out something in a script, and the the leaf is dropped at the end, like a carefully considered and then omitted idea.

Does anybody know where I can watch the bumper of Sundance 06?
