(mt) to the (rescue)

Pardon while I gush. This post is completely unsolicited; I simply believe in recognizing good work when I see it—especially when I’m the direct beneficiary of it.

There were a couple dark days earlier this week when Motionographer’s traffic spiked, putting the server under some strain. (mt) jumped on it immediately, sending me personal tech support messages and taking care of the necessary upgrades in a matter of minutes. (Seriously, minutes.)

I’ve used a lot of hosting services for various projects over the last eight years, but (mt)’s customer service and tech support is the thing that keeps me coming back for more. No, they’re not bargain basement hosts, but they’re a hell of a good value for what you get: reliability, accountability and kickassability. Try finding that in your $8-a-month hosting plan.

Okay, gushing session over.

Thanks for the recommendation. I hear a lot about these guys, they seem awesome!

Question, do you guys know what caused the spike in traffic?

I’m pretty happy with them also. maybe a tad more $$ than others, but I’ve never had any problems, which unfortunately is remarkable based on my experience.

Even though i keep hearing very nice things about Mediatemple overseas, I must say that some sites hosted by them seem to go very slow here in europe for some unknown reason. Luckily enough, Motionographer is not one of them.

“Question, do you guys know what caused the spike in traffic?”

It was a combination of the Bjork Wanderlust post and a few other recent posts.
