My Paperhouse On Fire

Sebastian Haslauer and Sebastian Koch lovingly crafted this new music video for phon°noir’s “My Paperhouse On Fire.” The Dada-esque collage style is punctuated throughout by some great typographic moments and a few self-contained vignettes. (The house/child/mother/fire sequence in particular is a nice mini-narrative.)

In my humble opinion this represents everything that is good with mograph.

Its feels like it adds to the dialogue. Its very refreshing, and though it has obvious points of influence, it utilizes them in a way which is theirs,

Everyone of the scenes is a beautiful piece of art come to life.

GREAT WORK!!!!!!!

absolutely

I just love the playfulness of what our jobs can be. You know, the not “job” part of it. This resembles that part.

nicely done,
but basic classical animation excercises at best.

it’s actually quite funny to see that mo-graphers and vfx-ers are always charmed and intrigued by basic traditional animation (e.g. like blublu’s piece, or any piece that’s filled with character animation), whereas i -from a ‘traditional’ background- am still mesmerised by flying ribbons and shiny slick pieces.

we should all work together

Great vid, loved it.
Shame about the music.
If you like the mournful “can’t sing-won’t sing” thing, try Dimmer-who does it with class.
