These titles had so much potential. It’s not bad per se, but seemed a bit cliche with the liquor bottles in the water. The best part of the titles, Steve Buscemi…

I agree. Also it looks very obviously composited and a little overly Magritte-esque for no apparent reason. Plus nothing much happens. Why is he standing there posing in his nice shoes by the water for so long?

I thought it worked.
bottles = prohibition
feet wet = criminal
walking away at the end = getting away with it.
It was sorta six feet under – I can pretty much hear the client saying “give it the six feet under pacing/feel”. if a client asks for it, you give it to ’em.

That couldn’t be more true, I don’t doubt that Imaginary Forces had some better boards/concepts than the final result.

I don’t tell the plumber how to fix my sink…

“I don’t tell the plumber how to fix my sink…”

If I hire a plumber to install a new sink for me, I expect to have some say in how it looks.

Look much better than what ended up being done at IF…

The bottles and imagery don’t bother me so much as the music. It just doesn’t fit for me, the music has a 60’s feel and it just doesn’t jibe with the 20’s visuals, imho.

Agree that the lush period flavor of the show seemed to be undermined by overly composited imagery and trippy 60’s music. Why go hyper-real with this when you have the makings of something very in-keeping with the era?

Gotta say, the show is enthralling though. Want more Omar!
