Lots of folks have been playing with Ferrofluid, magnets and household cleaners to create sumptuous, organic visuals. But this music video for alovelikepi’s “Jack and the Giant” also manages to weave a narrative with those same materials.
(Make sure your headphones are on. The interplay between alovelikepi’s scintillating music and Pimmel’s dramatic visuals is downright magical.)
Created by Kim Pimmel, who also happens to be a Senior Designer working on Microsoft’s very exciting HoloLens project, has been experimenting with fluid dynamics and magnetism for a while, as his portfolio shows. (He’s also no stranger to Vimeo Staff Picks.)
