indeed very awfully done. animation and look feels amateurish / childish and has no resemble to Charley Harper`s works.

It appears some people mistake ‘inspired’ for ‘exactly the same as’. They also must have insider knowledge of timelines, budgets, client input, etc.

but I see absolutely no resemblance at all. you could as well state that it was inspired by edward hopper, paul gustave doré or bob ross. and deadlines are a very sad excuse for this low level style…

Deadlines, in the real world, have an effect. If you want to do twice as many hours as you’re paid for in the name of ‘art’, carry on.

Man don’t get me wrong but this is not the right attitude for a guy who was featured on Motionographer. All people here are dealing with crazy deadlines, and I’m sure most of people here are working way more hours they were originally paid for (I know I do). Not to mention tons of personal projects. It just … those two statements (“I don’t have enough time” and “if I had more money I could do better job”) are classic signs of amateur loser. I refuse to believe you’re loser, so stop acting like one. If you think Joe, Ryan and Mario are wrong, it is their right to be wrong, no need to get offensive and search for excuses. Justin Cone thinks you’re good enough. This means something.

Vladimir, this is not my video, I was merely commenting on a friend’s work. I understand the industry, thanks. Not being an amateur or a loser, I get paid for my own work.
